“Fast Explorer is a veeery handy program! I absolutely love it! Only a bit over a meg installed and free to boot... I really like this program...it gives me virtually instant access to those programs I use most frequently. If you keep shortcuts on the desk top, you can clear off a bunch. No need to do Start > Programs and scroll through a long list either.” - dadiOH *** “You will be able to do it in just a moment! You will need Fast Explorer. It's more thorough than <other application> in creating the shortcuts. Once you have Fast Explorer, go to the Add Menu Item tab, click the Add button, browse to the executable file of the program you wish to add, go down to the Item Name box and type in the name as you want to see it on your menu (placing & in front of the letter you'd like to use for keyboard shortcut to it), and then be sure to click the All Files and the All Folders buttons. Click apply and then go look at your menu. I love this! :) Oh, and if you make a mistake or don't like what you created, go back into Fast Explorer and rightclick the entry you created and select delete.” *** “I already had the <another app> but it is poorly designed, so I didn't realize what was going on. It is an old PC Mag free utility that is no longer available. However, the page you pointed to mentions another app called Fast Explorer. This was a good one! It is easier to use than the PC Mag one and it has the added benefit of finding bad entries and letting you clean them up automatically. I accomplished everything I wanted to do with this app and I would recommend it.” |
